What are GEMI’s minimum orders?
Our minimums varies on the actual fabric minimums, your garment estimates and treatments. As a general rule our minimums are 50 units per colour per style. This can be lower if you are manufacturing an entire collection with GEMI and most of your styles are above the minimum of 50 units per colour. In this case we will support you to produce lower units for one or two styles.
What are GEMI lead times?
GEMI lead times depend on quite a few factors such as, are you an existing client or new client. The treatments your garments require and how many units. GEMI will work hard to ensure lead times are no longer than 8 weeks.
Does GEMI have pattern making facilities?
Yes GEMI has pattern making services, We can make your patterns from specifications, or samples you provide us. GEMI can manager all your grading needs.
Can I provide my own fabric?
Yes you can provide your own fabric. You can have your fabrics sent from any country in the world directly to our Bali design factory. When importing your fabrics to Indonesia you need to research things such as duty and tax costs prior to shipping. If possible we try and encourage our clients to use fabrics that are available in Indonesia.
How much are freight costs?
Freight costs varies on the size and weight of your product. We can advise you on this only. For example a cotton t-shirt is less expensive that a fleecy hoodie. You need to choose if you are going to airfreight or sea freight your goods. Sea freight can take up to 5 weeks and airfreight as little as 3 days. GEMI recommends all clients to research all tax and duties that may apply.
How long will it take to receive a sample?
Samples usually take around two to four weeks to develop, it depends on the complexity of your design and all the treatments you require. GEMI requires the client to provide very clear and accurate specification packs.
Can I visit the Gemi design factory in Bali?
All clients can visit the GEMI design factory, Appointments are mandatory so please contact us.
What are your terms and conditions?
Upon request, we can email you a copy of GEMI terms and conditions.
Can GEMI drive me around to fabric and trim suppliers?
Yes, we can drive you around to source fabrics and trims for your designs. Whilst we can source many fabrics and trims and send these to you, we understand designers need to feel and see fabrics and trims to design there collections. In some cases a driving fee may apply.
Can you include my freight costs into the garment cost?
GEMI can not include the freight costs into a garment cost. All freight costs are considered a client’s responsibility.
